Dreadlocks
Starter Dreads - $40 deposit plus $50 per hour. $40/h for students.
Time depends on hair length, texture and thickness of dreads. Wax (I use knottyboy wax only) is included in the deposit and you get to keep the remainder of the pot.
Maintenance - $50 per hour. $40/h for students. No deposit necessary.
Can be booked by the hour or as a session until I think it is done (which is usually around 2 hours, but depends on the situation).
Natural Dread Extenders - $100 deposit, plus $50 per hour. $40/h for students.
The deposit does not include the cost of the human hair (varies depending on what the desired outcome is), but acts as a necessary confirmation for the appointment and covers the prelabour for the extenders. These appointments are usually pretty long, so they must start early and be prepared to go late, or split between days. Human hair dread extenders are meant to be permanent, and can be done while the natural hair is being dreadded or on the ends of already formed locks.
